However, if you are a women and you want to know more about fertility, here are 5 tips to boost it!
Know Your Cycle
A normal menstrual cycle lasts about 21 to 35 days (start counting on the first day of your period). The Pill Can Help
Yes, the birth-control pill may actually enhance your fertility. Oral contraceptives can provide many other benefits such as protection from pelvic infections, a decreased risk of ovarian and endometrial cancer.
Cut caffeine
High caffeine intake interferes with conception. Consider eliminating or avoiding caffeinated coffee, tea, and soft drinks.
Drinking as little as one cup of coffee a day can halve your chances of conceiving and just two cups a day increases the risk of a miscarriage.
It’s important to eliminate all caffeine-containing food and drinks for at least three months before trying to conceive. That includes colas, chocolate, black teas, and coffee, among other things.
Try some herbs
Agnus Castus is the herb of choice for helping to restore hormone imbalance and increasing fertility. Agnus castus works to restore hormonal balance and can be used where there are hormone deficits as well as excesses it: regulates periods, restarts periods which have stopped, helps with heavy bleeding and increases the ratio of progesterone to oestrogen by balancing excess oestrogen.
Caution: You should not take any of the above herbs if you are taking, The Pill, Fertility drugs, HRT or any other hormonal treatment or other medication unless they are recommended by a registered, experienced practitioner.
Supplements
In order to maximize your chances of conceiving it is very important that you and your partner are in optimum health.
